Plate Pick

Changing ties just got easier and more efficient. Plate Pick has been developed with tie change gangs in mind. Plate Pick can be applied to a plate and rail (adhering plate to rail) minutes before tie replacement. When the track is lifted to insert a new tie, the plate will lift with the rail, so the old tie can be removed and the new tie can be moved into place.

  • Specially formulated two-component polyurethane.
  • Insensitive to moisture and can be applied in extreme heat or cold.
  • Once applied and a new tie is in place and secure, the bond will be broken naturally by a passing train. (Plate Pick is not a permanent fixture and will eventually release.)
  • Applied with hand applicators or machines.
